Benj Pasek (b. 1985) is an American theatrical composer, partnering with Justin Paul on many projects, including the musical adaptation of A Christmas Story, Smash, the Academy Award-winning film La La Land, the Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen and the musical film The Greatest Showman. For season 42 of Sesame Street, Pasek and Paul composed the music for "I'm a Lever Lover," performed by Sutton Foster and the cast. While Paul continued to contribute songs to the show, this is Pasek's only collaboration.
