Agapanthus is a genus of flowers, more commonly known as 'Lily-of-the-Nile'. The Dursley family grew agapanthuses in the front garden of their home at 4 Privet Drive, and, when Albus Dumbledore came to collect Harry Potter there in the summer of 1996, he remarked to Vernon Dursley that these plants were thriving.
