- The Purge is an event which took place on Fara Prime in 2573, when the Federation President Medji Crassana ordered the eradication of Section 31. Through months of infiltration and espionage, the Federation was able to track down a main base of operations used by the rogue organisation, taking the majority of its members captive. The event caused a public uproar amongst the citizens of the Federation, but the president defended his actions, saying that he was protecting the future of the Federation. - NC: Usually, I'd have to take something to see shit like this. What the hell are you guys doing? Tamara: Preparing for the new law they're about to pass. NC: What law? Tamara: It seems like the road America is going down.
- "Never say die, Kerix. Just keep fighting. Do whatever it takes to get back here, boy." Kerix smiled, "I will, girl." The warm sunlight shown through the thin window lace, turning the room a strange shade of blue. "Keep a watch on Sam, for me, huh?" The two kissed a short while, holding each other close for what very well could be the last time. They always kissed a while before Kerix left for the latest mission with Arthas.
- When a character, usually a villain, takes over The Government, The Syndicate, the Ancient Conspiracy, or otherwise takes power in some way, often the first item on the character's agenda is ordering the deaths of many characters. These aren't just Muggles, though; these are characters we know (and possibly love) from before, killed off in a quick montage in various locales. No big ceremony, just them dying horribly. Hits home just how powerful the guy is. The people the character does kill with ceremony don't count. If this is in a character's Backstory, usually leads to Last of His Kind.
- Sometime between its 1970 founding and 1973, by which time they established themselves on the Island, the DHARMA Initiative became aware of a defensive group of indigenous people. ("The Man Behind the Curtain") Mikhail claimed that the DHARMA Initiative "foolishly initiated a war against" his group and called it "the Purge". ("Enter 77") On the other hand the Others had previously exterminated other groups who came to the Island, like the US Army. ("Jughead") The conflict between the two groups may have spanned as long as 22 years.
- On the 21st of December, 2005, JackAcid made an announcement of what would soon be the purge of AD. Because of countless dead threads, old posts, multiple accounts, and inactive members, the purge seemed a practical sollution. Soon posters were asking each other whether they would return after the purge or not. Until the deadline, Dec. 31st, we will wait. And cry. And masturbate. EDIT: It has happened. December 28th. Viva la Pickle. EDIT: It has still not been reborn yet. People grow impatient. January 2nd. Viva la Pickle. (re)EDIT: January *3rd*, and yet no new cucumber to picklize.
