The club was one of the 11 teams that restarted the Scottish Ice Hockey Association in 1929. After playing a challenge match, a 4-2 victory over the Glasgow Mohawks, Kelvingrove joined the Scottish League for its inaugural 1929-30 season. A sixth place finish in the Points Competition consigned them to the Second Division for the second half of the 1929-30 season. They proceeded to win the group handily. Kelvingrove won the league championship the following year, the first of their two Canada Cup's. They proceeded to add another in 1934.
