A shadowrun goes wrong, and the tech vanishes into the shadows, ending up in the hands of a smalltime fixer. Everyone wants it, and no one wants their competitors to have it. With the fate of nations and megacorps in the balance, and your life worth less than the chip in your pocket, where do you run? A run recovering Yamatetsu lostech that allows snooping on previously unbreakable optical communication goes bad, with the original team mostly dead. Yet the tech was stolen, and the very fact now threatens to cause a world war, as corporations and states are gearing out to take out everyone rather than allow one party to gain access to this lostech. Eventually, the lostech, recovered accidentally by another group of runners, is deposited for all to see on the BBS of Corporate Court at Zurich Orbital. It is implied that the original run at Yamatetsu was organized by Office of Military Intelligence of Sioux Nation, and its failure was one of the events leading to OMI purge and restructuring around late 2053/early 2054. Timeline: Those events occur through the 9 to 16 November 2053.
