- A British term for English sausages that became popular during World War II when the sausage was made with pork meat. The typical Banger made today may contain a mixture of beef or pork meat with cereal or rusk added as a filler. The term "Banger" arose during the war era as the sausages were roasted and exploded due to the excess water contained in the sausages. Since the Banger is a mildly seasoned sausage, various counties in the country add their own seasonings such as fresh sage, pimiento, and thyme to name a few, to enhance the flavor of their sausages.
- Lord Banger was the Lord Holder of Igen Hold during the events of Dragonflight. He attended the Council at Benden Weyr, where he was warned that Thread was due to fall over Igen. At an urging from Masterfarmer Andemon, he organized teams to find Igen Sandworms, which were once cultivated as a protection against Thread. Lord Banger died some time in the eight years between Dragonflight and Dragonquest, as Lord Laudey was Lord Holder of Igen Hold at this point.
- The banger is a traditional model. When flicked downward, it gives off a cracking sound.

Strategy
| - Bangers charge into melee range wielding a crude club of metal pipe studded with numerous protruding bolts. They typically attack with a double swing pattern, pausing after the second attack. When hurt, bangers can flinch, letting their target get a short distance away or counterattack in melee. The melee attack employed by bangers also forces them to stop running, and can be avoided by retreating when the animation starts. As a result, it is not necessary to run away from a banger. A quick step back when they commence their attack keeps them out of striking range.
Like all other Prisoners, Bangers are unshielded, and are thus vulnerable to incendiary attacks.
