Kory was a young female Human Sith Acolyte who lived during the Cold War. She was one of the newer students to attend the academy on Korriban. She was passionate when she met the character, and told the Inquisitor not to worry about the training that they were going to attend at the academy. It is possible that she discovered that the dark side wasn't the true path, and it led her close to the light side. When the students were called to meet with Harkun, the Overseer turned to face Kory and called her forth. He sensed that the dark side wasn't in her and immediately kills her in order to show an example to the students.

After tension arose between Overseer Harkun and the future Inquisitor, she attempted to calm her fellow acolyte, assuring him that the overseer could not kill every member of their group and that one person would survive. Upon returning to Harkun's chamber after one of many trials to come, a blast of Force Lightning from Overseer Harkun was released upon Kory, killing her.
