abstract
  • Queek was a male of the Race's Conquest Fleet sent to Tosev 3. He served as the Race's first ambassador to the Soviet Union in the decade after the Peace of Cairo, where he routinely dealt with Soviet General Secretary Vyacheslav Molotov, who had a separate office reserved exclusively for meetings with Queek, for fear of Queek planting listening devices. Many of their meetings concerned the USSR's covert support for Communist rebels in China. Queek often grew frustrated with Molotov, who would deny the charges with the same indifference that made him loathed by human diplomats. Most, if not all, evidence Queek presented was effectively argued against. At the end of the Race-German War of 1965, Queek represented the Race when Molotov mediated a peace agreement between it and Germany in Moscow. He negotiated the agreement with Germany's Soviet ambassador, Paul Schmidt, who had requested a meeting with Queek on the orders of the new Führer-Chancellor Walter Dornberger. After the Race-German War, and perhaps motivated by the extreme damage done to Race territory, Queek warned Molotov the USSR would be destroyed if the Chinese got their hands on nuclear weapons. Like most arguments before, however, Molotov sent him off frustrated.
