The SSV Westerplatte was a Systems Alliance Waterloo-class light frigate. Commissioned in 2183, shortly after the Battle of the Citadel, she was assigned to patrol the Attican Traverse. For three years, it successfully patrolled and protected the human colonies there from pirates and all manner of raiders. In 2186, the Reapers returned to the galaxy, intent on continuing their cycle of extinction, and set their sights on the colony of New Brunswick. Being one of the few ships able to assist, the Westerplatte helped with the civilian evacuation. Unfortunately, several refugees had been indoctrinated by the Reapers during the invasion, and quickly indoctrinated the entire crew.
