The 1966 National 500 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Lowe's Motor Speedway on October 16, 1966. LeeRoy Yarborough led 301 of 334 laps in route to an eighteen-second win on Darel Dieringer. It was Yarborough's only win of the year. Eventual 1966 champion David Pearson finished 10th. Stats
