It is only when Turok and Andar takes the position that they discover that it is a large Pteranodon that is snatching the Chief's people. Later, Turok and Andar return and tell the tribe of an island in the middle of a river that could serve as a safer place to live. The Chief and his people make boats under Turok and Andar's supervision, and, after two trips, the entire tribe makes it to the island's shores, bidding the Mandan warriors farewell as they set off to explore their new home.
