- The Amalgam Comics version of Magneto is a fictional superhero in that continuity. His first appeared was in Magneto and the Magnetic Men #1, but his metafictional debut in Amalgam Comics continuity was The Brotherhood of Mutants #1. Magneto is the most powerful mutant in the Amalgam Comics universe. He was the leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants and Magnetic Men. In the saga Secret Crisis of the Infinity Hour, Magneto leads the team of heroes to attack Thanoseid and Doctor Doomsday. This character is a combination of Marvel Comics' character of the same name and DC Comics' Will Magnus.
- Nicolai Kovac (though there were those that simply called him Nick), also known as Magneto, was an immigrated U.S. citizen and pro-mutant activist. Born in Transia and raised in the United States, Nicolai was of Romani heritage and, as such, lived most of his life the way the Romani did - under constant persecution. He suffered the deaths of both of his parents and extended family before he was an adult, and constant persecution not only for his background, but for his status as an American immigrant and a mutant, which drove him to form the Brotherhood of Mutants and lead a pro-mutant revolution against the world. He was considered one of the most powerful beings on Earth.

- (real name: Magnus Erikson) is a powerful mutant and villain from the series, . He is the archenemy of the X-Men, as an anti-villain on many occasions. Despite once being close friends with Professor Xavier, the two became enemies when Xavier championed the co-existence of mutant and human kind working together. To Magneto, a Holocaust survivor who had seen and felt first-hand the worst ways human beings could treat those they deemed different, such a system was impossible and he instead championed a violent pro-mutant stance, one which saw humans as the enemy in a genetic war and promoted the idea that mutants should become the dominant species on Earth.

- A magneto is an electrical generator that uses permanent magnets to produce alternating current. Hand-cranked magneto generators were used to provide ringing current in early telephone systems. Magnetos adapted to produce pulses of high voltage are used in the ignition systems of some gasoline-powered internal combustion engines to provide power to the spark plugs. The magneto is now confined mainly to engines where there is no available electrical supply, for example in lawnmowers and chainsaws. It is also universally used in aviation piston engines even though an electrical supply is usually available. This is because a magneto ignition system is more reliable than a battery-coil system.
