Mats Göran Hallin (born March 9, 1958 in Eskilstuna, Sweden) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played 152 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the New York Islanders and Minnesota North Stars. He would win one Stanley Cup with the Islanders in 1983. He played in various leagues in Sweden until 1981. The Washington Capitals chose him 105th overall in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft but they lost his rights. The New York Islanders signed him as a free agent in 1981.

He played with the New York Islanders and Minnesota North Stars. He would win one Stanley Cup with the Islanders in 1983. He played in various leagues in Sweden until 1981. The Washington Capitals chose him 105th overall in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft but they lost his rights. The New York Islanders signed him as a free agent in 1981. Hallin played for the Indianapolis Checkers in 1981-82 and part of the 1982-83 seasons. The Islanders called him up in 1982-83 in time for him to be a part of that Stanley Cup-winning team. He played the next two seasons for the Isles and then was traded to the Minnesota North Stars in 1985. Hallin saw some action for the Stars over the next two seasons. He finished the 1986-87 season for HC Lugano in Switzerland. The next season he moved back to his native Sweden where he played until he retired in 1992.
