An overcompensating pseudo-badass mix of James Bond, Han Solo and FPS Doug. Mark likes to talk, and talk loudly. He’s flashy, showy and celebrates his successes in the hope that no one notices his failures. City-born with a lifelong penchant for gambling. One of his greatest winnings was the spellbook of a travelling wizard. Discovering this power he dove headfirst into the arcane arts. He was always scornful of the wizards and teachers he sought out, however, because he perceived them as too physically weak. He quickly learned to balance physical training with mental, learning swordplay alongside his studies. Somehow he still finds time to fleece people of their life savings at the local gambling dens. Mark has surprising focus and intellect for someone who appears so very average. It was this averageness and a yearning for greatness that drives him every day to better himself. He is still young and has a great future ahead of him, unless he winds up dead in an alley behind a tavern. Killingsworth joined Kruin and some random mercenaries on a Mirrax-Led Treasure transportation mission which was quickly hijacked by Hengsha and her runners, culminating in a fight to the death with Bloody Jackson the pirate. In dealing the mortal blow, Killingsworth so angered the demon inside Kruin's arm that she slew him. This was the first of many brief dirtnaps for our brave Captain. Killingsworth joined the party on a permanent basis after the death of Snookums the Paladin. He was instrumental in clearing the Temple of Orcus, as well as the red dragon Aragnak, the Kraken, the Balor, and the slaying of Heleyna. Killingsworth quickly grew to be an important part of the town of Dejune, founding the first tavern in the town, the Planar Anchor. He is the Owner and Director of Killingsworth Taverns, Distilleries and Waystations Proprietary. During a particularly eventful Dejune festival, Killingsworth adopted and then awakened a tropical parrot, who then chose the name Matey.
