| - Tanimagakure (lit. Village Hidden in the Chasm) is a completely independent ninja village; despite having been separated from the rest of the world for centuries, Tanimagakure has prospered marvelously. Tanimagakure is located in the upper-left corner of the Land of Earth, right in between two extremely tall mountain ranges' summits. Since it's in a black-as-pitch ravine, the villagers have learned to adapt to the constant darkness. Each villager has a certain occupation to help maintain the balance of light, water, etc, using their chakra type. Water types would take plumbing, electrical types would take electricity, etc. There's a river that flows directly from the right mountain's summit down to the middle of the village, straight through it, and up the other mountain. (This was of course made to do so by the plumbers.) Tanimagakure obtains its many raw materials by drilling into the side of the mountains that surround it. But to keep the mountains from losing their height, the earth chakra-type shinobi, whose occupation is called Ground Keeper, generate enormous amounts of earth to add to the top and side of the mountains. There are two categories that Tanimagakure jobs fall under: resources/energy and utilities. The resources/energy category covers jobs like Driller and Electricit Generator, while the Utilities category covers jobs like Technician and Plumber. But of course, there are miscellaneous jobs, like educator, libriarian, and the like. There are also jobs that cover more than one category, like technician, which is a utility but also a control of energy. The government jobs are the most highly paid and have the best benifits for the person whose job it is.
