- Many ships have shared the moniker of Pitiless over the long course of Teron Helstone's career and in each case they've served as his command vessel of choice. The latest ship to be given the name is a Praetor Mark II that was assigned to Helstone after his actions during the Xen'Chi War. Formerly known as the Throne of Archais, it had been tasked with guarding the planet Alsakan for most of its operational lifespan. After it was assigned to Helstone, the Imperial General had it retrofitted and optimized to assist in ground operations, as such it is capable of subjugating entire worlds on its own.

Usually just the sight of the Pitiless in orbit is enough to make the enemies of the Empire think twice about their actions, as Helstone's ruthless reputation is well known in many parts of the galaxy. In addition to the formidable ground forces that the ship can deploy, Helstone has trained the gunners of his flagship to make pinpoint orbital bombardments when necessary. They are drilled regularly to keep their skills in top shape and Helstone is quick to transfer out anyone he believes isn't up to his exacting standards. Helstone's troops are widely considered to be some of the most highly trained in the Empire. The Pitiless not only serves as the flagship for Helstone's 11th Battle Group, but also houses Storm Squadron, an elite multipurpose starfighter squadron made up of Storm Commandos that Helstone created as a response to the success of Wraith Squadron. Finally, the Pitiless is the official homebase for Hellion Company, though in practice the military unit mostly operates from the Hellion.
