Yeamans Court was a 15 storey tower block in the Lochee area of Dundee. It was built in 1969 along with another tower block called Sharps Court. On the 21st July 2002, at 12:44pm, both blocks were blown down in an £800,000 controlled explosion carried out by Safedem of Dundee. They were the latest casualties in Dundee's cull of its high rise housing stock, inspired by population decline, high cost of maintenance and unpopularity among the city's residents.
