They are the series of rolling checkered hills within the land. Like all of Chessboard Land they are covered with a chessboard pattern. They are rolling red and white hills that are as smooth as glass. They undulate endlessously against a flat blue sky. A path wanders, like a ribbon, from a marble bridge at the entrance of the land, into the velvety hills. The entrance to the Harlequin Hills is barred by two gigantic chess knights.
