"Right Next Door to Hell" is a song by the Los Angeles-based hard rock band Guns N' Roses, and is the first song on Use Your Illusion I, one of two albums released by the band in 1991 in conjunction with the Use Your Illusion Tour. It was written by singer Axl Rose, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin and Timo Caltia (from Rose Tattoo, also a roadie for Hanoi Rocks), and was inspired by an issue between a neighbor of Rose named Gabriella Kantor who claimed he hit her with a wine bottle. Although this was the starting point of the song, the lyrics seem to be more universal, talking about life's difficulties, particularly those of a psychological nature. According to a YouTube user, this song was performed live about five to ten times during the Use Your Illusion Tour.
