| - At this stage in the Bothan War, CSA President Jammi Crane was looking for allies to fight in the war against the Muuns and Bothans. Along with the Bespin Treaty Association, who had been an ally from the war's beginning, the Mandalorians and Mon Calamari pledged their support to the galaxywide alliance. The Wookies and Trandoshans (who had been at peace for quite some time at this point) had also expressed interest in joining the fight. Support from these groups would briing imeasurable aid to CSA and its allies. To fully cement the potential alliance, Crane and Wookiee Jedi Master Dichukk would embark on a diplomatic mission to the Wookiee homeworld, Kashyyyk. Meanwhile, on Bothawui, Bothan leader Lopp Fey'la saw the Core's president as an inspirational leader, who had been able to keep the morale of his people high. Seeing that the loss of this popular leader would deal a significant blow to his enemies, Fey'la organized an assasination attempt which ws to be lead by the Trandoshan Dark Jedi Koox. He was to take a small team of Bothan assasins to Kashyyyk and shoot Crane in the head from a distance, immediately after his exit from his shuttle. The President landed on Kashyyyk, as scheduled. He was greeted by a number of Wookiee and Trandoshan leaders, when Dichuk sensed a disturbance in the force. Telling Crane and the other leaders to get down, he deflected a number of blaster shots. In order to ensure that the attackers did not flee, Dichukk requested that he and the Wookiee bodyguards immediately pursue Koox's team. Sensing his enemies presence with the force, he eventually found his target. All four assasins were killed, along with 2 wookies. As the rest of the body guards tended to the wounded, Dichukk engaged Koox. Eventually, the Wookiee Jedi was the winner of the lightsaber duel, as Koox was killed. Later, the Kashyyyk System Congress agreed to declare war on the Muun Federation and the Bothan League.
