| - When this arte is used, the user jumps in the air while tossing daggers into the ground, creating a magic glyph that hits the enemy multiple times. In its original appearance in Tales of the Abyss, this arte is an FOF Change that is activated by using Severed Fate within a fully-charged Wind or Light FOF Circle. In Tales of Vesperia, this arte requires a similar elemental change, as an altered arte that is activated by using Severed Fate while the "Gale" skill is equipped, until the arte is mastered. After this, Fatal Circle is available as a separate arte that does not require the skill to be equipped. Its execution is similar, but it adds two slashes prior to the initial jump in the air. During the execution of this arte, the player can choose one of the three cards using the "Attack", "Artes", or "Guard" buttons. The best outcome makes the magic triangle deal more hits and damage, while the worst outcome results in a misfire that causes Patty to shoot herself. It is a linked arte shared by Alvin and Rowen J. Ilbert in Tales of Xillia and Tales of Xillia 2 as a combination of their Squall Shot and Severed Fate artes. Both men begin by firing their artes into the air. A larger version of Severed Fate's triangle traps their targets while both of their projectiles rain over the immobile enemies. The version Rowen uses with Ludger Will Kresnik is identical.
- Fatal Circle ist ein Schlag-Arte des Elements Licht.
