The 85th Canadian Infantry Battalion, C.E.F. (Nova Scotia Highlanders) was a unit of the First World War Canadian Expeditionary Force. It was authorized on September 14, 1915, by the appointment of Lieutenant-Colonel A.H. Borden as its commanding officer. The battalion served in the Battle of Vimy Ridge, taking Hill 145. The battalion is perpetuated by The Cape Breton Highlanders.
