- Shuhei Morita is a Japanese director and visual effects artist. He is the director of the widely acclaimed Freedom Project, commissioned by Akira and Steamboy creator Katsuhiro Otomo. He also created story art for the short film Kakurenbo. In 1999, while attending the Kyoto University of Art and Design, he helped found the studio Kamikaze Douga, although he has also done work with Studio 4C. In 2003, along with Daisuke Sajiki, he created Kakurenbo with the company Yamatoworks. In 2005, Morita won two awards-- one at the Tokyo Anime Fair and one at the Canadian Fantasy Film Festival.
