Individuals selected by USA Hockey are recognized and enshrined in the hall on a yearly basis. It was announced in May 2006 that due to low attendance, the hall would shut down and reopen in a new location. After discussing the possibility of moving the hall to the Minneapolis-St. Paul, it was announced in 2007 that the hall would re-open and remain in Eveleth.
