  • A disruptor rifle was a type of energy weapon, a rifle stock modification of a hand-held disruptor. These weapons were used by the Klingons, Romulans, and Cardassians. They were more powerful than a disruptor pistol.
  • Disruptor Rifles were rifles that could ignore most types of shields and damage on impact, much like Concussion missiles and Proton torpedoes. But while they could ignore shields, they didn't do as much damage, and are banned from civilian ownership on many systems.
  • It is one of the few weapons in the game that is only a power up. Like most of the other weapons, this rifle never appeared in the Original Trilogy. To use the weapon, players must charge it up until the dashes showing the power form into a circle. Once the weapon's fire button is released, the rifle releases a condensed sphere of ion energy that kills enemy players on impact. It also destroys turrets and droids, as well as damaging Vehicles. The Disruptor Rifle is one of the weapons that can pass through the Personal Shield and Squad Shield.
  • The Klingon version of this weapon had induction coils that could burn out. (DS9: "Honor Among Thieves") The Romulan disruptor rifle went through a few changes. In 2368 their rifle was small and thin. By 2371 the rifle had been enlarged and given a much sleeker design. (TNG: "Unification I" , "Unification II" ; DS9: "Improbable Cause"). By 2387 it had been modified with a more conventional shoulder-braced configuration. In the mirror universe of 2370, Quark tried to defend himself with a disruptor rifle but was overwhelmed by Klingons. (DS9: "Crossover")
  • A disruptor rifle was a vicious and devastating weapon that disintegrated its target. It tore apart its victim at the molecular level, destroying their body tissues and bypassing most sorts of personal energy shields. Dash Rendar used a different type of the disruptor rifle. This was not a weapon used for sniping. It shot a small green plasma ball that exploded and did a large amount of damage. It was much like a miniature seismic charge, as it distorted sound and its explosion had a distinct horizontal shock wave.

The Disruptor Rifle is one of the weapons that can pass through the Personal Shield and Squad Shield. This weapon's accuracy is determined on whether or not the player is aiming down their sights. If fired from the hip, it will have a high chance of going past the target and instead hitting part of the map. If aimed down the sights however, the sphere will always go into the direction it's aimed at.

  • A disruptor rifle was a vicious and devastating weapon that disintegrated its target. It tore apart its victim at the molecular level, destroying their body tissues and bypassing most sorts of personal energy shields. A disruptor weapon shot a constant beam of energy that would travel in a straight direction until it hit solid matter, so this made disruptors very popular as sniping weapons, and most types of disruptor were manufactured with built in scopes. The use of disruptor weapons was illegal in the Republic, and therefore was usually associated with shadier organizations, such as crime syndicates and Mandalorians, and the weapons became prime smuggling objects, as they were highly valued in taboo areas. The weapon was also utilized by Tyber Zann and his Consortium to defeat the enemies he faced in his campaign for corruption. One of the most popular disruptor rifle models was the Tenloss DXR-6. A smaller version of the disruptor rifle was the disruptor pistol, which was lighter and smaller but still almost as deadly as its larger cousin. Dash Rendar used a different type of the disruptor rifle. This was not a weapon used for sniping. It shot a small green plasma ball that exploded and did a large amount of damage. It was much like a miniature seismic charge, as it distorted sound and its explosion had a distinct horizontal shock wave.

By 2387 it had been modified with a more conventional shoulder-braced configuration. In the alternate reality in 2258, Hikaru Sulu and James T. Kirk used prime-reality 2387 disruptor rifles to sabotage the Narada's drill after Chief Engineer Olson had died. (Star Trek) In the mirror universe of 2370, Quark tried to defend himself with a disruptor rifle but was overwhelmed by Klingons. (DS9: "Crossover") The Cardassian disruptor rifle, also known as a phase-disruptor rifle, was a much simpler design than the Starfleet Type 3 phaser rifle. It had very few settings on it and fewer components than its alien counterparts. The weapon's output rating was 4.7 megajoules, with 3 millisecond recharge rate and 2 beam settings. Major Kira Nerys said that it could be dragged through the mud and still fire. (DS9: "Return to Grace") Karnas of Mordan IV displayed two disruptor rifles on the wall behind his desk, one of them was a modified Klingon disruptor rifle. Karnas took the modified Klingon disruptor rifle and aimed at Admiral Mark Jameson but did not shoot. (TNG: "Too Short a Season" )
