The Disruptor Rifle is one of the weapons that can pass through the Personal Shield and Squad Shield. This weapon's accuracy is determined on whether or not the player is aiming down their sights. If fired from the hip, it will have a high chance of going past the target and instead hitting part of the map. If aimed down the sights however, the sphere will always go into the direction it's aimed at.

Major Kira Nerys said that it could be dragged through the mud and still fire.
