An Earth kami played by Khy Manuso in The Five Moons of Japan * Pronounced: tsoo-NAH-dey * "Mooring rope" in Japanese You are the good and strong-hearted mother of Kuro and a rogue Earth kami. You came from a mountainside to the East that directly faced the rising sun each morning. It nurtured the earth at the base until, on the last sunrise before Amaterasu’s disappearance, you were finally born. Night came early that day and has stayed ever since. Because kami childhoods are very short, you remember your births and can recall more vividly than anything else that one sunrise. Barely a day old and with the nourishing sun gone, you huddled at the mountain base and wept for days. Finally you were discovered by a kindly Wind kami named Nozomi the Dove who flew you to the human encampmen

  • An Earth kami played by Khy Manuso in The Five Moons of Japan * Pronounced: tsoo-NAH-dey * "Mooring rope" in Japanese You are the good and strong-hearted mother of Kuro and a rogue Earth kami. Finally you were discovered by a kindly Wind kami named Nozomi the Dove who flew you to the human encampments in central Nippon to be with other people. Growing up surrounded by humans, you took a great fascination in them and joined Black Moon back when it was the Earth Clan. You were even present at the signing of the Lunar Decrees 170 years ago. Though you loved humans, you held on to your Beast Form as a little reminder of what you really were. It wasn’t until about 30 years ago that you finally chose a mate: a Black Moon mortal named Kouta with whom you had your son. After the death of Kouta’s half-mortal brothers, Koji and Koichi, left Black Moon leaderless, you suggested that Kouta take over as leader while you performed his “magic” behind everyone’s backs and make him appear to be a half-mortal. To your amazement, this idea on top of the deaths of his brothers shook him so much that he outright abandoned Black Moon. Boulderdash, who had become your good friend over the decades, seemed to all but take over as Kuro’s surrogate father, convincing you that the two would be excellent leaders of Black Moon together. 7 years ago, when Kuro turned 18, you decided to leave Black Moon and try living properly with your own kind. Though you visit Black Moon frequently, you tend to wander the area around Gaiden Shrine and occasional venturing to the East coast, staring out onto the dark waters when they should be reflecting the glow of a sunrise.
