- There are several roles that people must fufill in the world of S4 League, all these roles play an important part in the game and could mean the difference between victory and defeat if properly/poorly preformed. These roles will only apply to those who are playing Touch Down matches, and you need to know which of these roles you want to play quickly if you want to really help your team.
- Roles are one of the key features of Frontlines: Fuel of War, along with vehicles and Classes. There are four different roles in Frontlines, and each have their own abilities based on your faction.
* Ground Support
* EMP Tech
* Drone Tech
* Air Support Roles can be easily identified by their appearance as the backpacks of the soldiers.
- Roles refer to the player character's roles. In a party of players, you would be playing one of the following roles:
- Roles a fost rege al geților din Sciția Minor, în nordul Dobrogei actuale și aliat al romanilor. Fiind atacat de vecinul său Dapyx, solicită ajutorul romanilor care vin sub comanda lui Marcus Licinus Crassus și asediază cetatea lui Dapyx. Un trădător, le-a dat drumul în cetate, iar Dapyx și căpeteniile gete s-au sinucis pentru a nu cădea în mâinile dușmanilor. După aceea, a fost ocupată și partea de miazănoapte a Dobrogei, cu puternica cetate Genucla. Stăpânul de aici, regele get Zyraxes a fugit peste Dunăre.
- A "Role" can be assigned to any one character at a time (with the exception of "Solo Action") and it affects various stats or abilities in battle. Roles are unlocked at various points in the story, as well as when new characters join your party. You can assign Roles from the "Battle Style" sub-option from the options screen. Roles can be Passive (Scout), Aggressive (Blitz, Diversion), Support (Defence, Support) or Diplomatic (Intimidate, Pre-emptive), and can be used to drastically alter battles in your favour depending on location and current enemies.

A role is a character that is part of a faction and has abilities & attributes that contribute to the success of the faction (or sometimes not, see 'nuisance role'). For example, "vanilla Innocent" would be a role, albeit a bland one (nothing to do but vote during days). 'The Doctor' is a role.
