The Skyway was destroyed in 3956 BBY when the Sith Lord Darth Malak bombarded the planet, and in the centuries afterward, the area became known as the Tularan Marsh. However, the Galactic Republic was unable to determine who or what the Skyway, and subsequently the Marsh, had been named after.
