| - The sun rose over the horizon and brought with it the new day. The light, in all of its brilliance shinned down upon the world dispelling the darkness and bringing the deeds of man into light. On a lonely beach in the early morning light a young couple sat upon the sand looking out at the ocean. A red head and a blue head, a strange, but complementary combination. "I remember the first time you called me out here", spoke the young man was he sipped on a can of cola and stared into the new morning light. The sun had not fully risen over the sea giving him the opportunity to look into its light without being blinded. "I remember as well", spoke the young lade as her hands fumbled over a half drunken can of pop. Her eyes looked down in the sand and a troubled expression crossed her face. There was a clear divide between the couple. One had a expression covered in bliss and the other one shunned in sadness. The young man was to buys staring into the sun to notice, but things where not as he thought they where. The sun rises and sets on all things, but the young boy was to blinded by the light to see that it was truly fading. "Shark", spoke the young lady as she looked up from her can. She looked into his eyes as he turned his head and looked down on her. It was then that he noticed the change, the somber expression. The smile on his face vanished and a expression of concern took its place. However it was to late. Everything was already over. His time in the sun was gone and he did not even know it. "Kiyoko", he spoke concern filled his voice. He had not noticed the expression, nor had he seen the signs. "Shark it is over", spoke the young redheaded maiden as she looked into the young man's eyes. Her words cut deep like a razor releasing a mountain of confusion. Shark's heart could not take it, it could not understand. What was going on? What was happening? Kiyoko said it was over, but what was over? Was it them? Was she leaving him? Why? Had he done something? Had he not spent enough time with her? He was always with her. If he was not making a delivery or playing cards with the boys he was with her? He was with her more than with the boys. Evey day and every night they would sit and talk on the beach. For years they where together. Since middle school. What was going on? What was happening? Why was this happening? Maybe I am over thinking it, yest I am over thinking it, thought Shark to himself. The hurt expression on his face shifted for a moment as he turned toward the young maiden and opened his mouth. "What is over to be exact", he spoke. Shark wanted clarity, a understanding. He preyed he was wrong, but the back of his mind told him he was right. She was breaking up with him. That was what that expression was about, and now that he thought on it that same damp mood had been looming over her head for a month or so now. "Listen Shark we are over", spoke the young lady as she pulled herself out of the sand and dusted her jeans off. "I am sorry, but I can't be your girlfriend any more. ..., this is the end", she spoke as she fought to keep tears back. Shark could hear the sound. He knew she wanted to cry. That sound made it all the more clearer that this was happening. She was breaking up with him. She was terminating there relationship. She was leaving him. Why? Shark did not understand Why? "Why", he spoke as he looked her in the eye. He needed a answer. He needed a reason. If he did not have a answer or a reason he could not go on.
