Although the Talman guitars were assembled in Japan by FujiGen, they were the first Ibanez guitars to feature Korean hardware, with pickguard assemblies pre-wired in Korea and dropped into bodies in Japan. The other notable feature of the first Talman models was the "Resoncast" body, which was basically just a marketing term for medium-density fiberboard. This design decision also helped keep costs down. This model was only sold in the USA. The TV650 is an identical model that was offered in Europe and Japan. The TV750 was produced only for 1994.

abstract
  • Although the Talman guitars were assembled in Japan by FujiGen, they were the first Ibanez guitars to feature Korean hardware, with pickguard assemblies pre-wired in Korea and dropped into bodies in Japan. The other notable feature of the first Talman models was the "Resoncast" body, which was basically just a marketing term for medium-density fiberboard. This design decision also helped keep costs down. The TV750's resoncast body has a gravure quilted maple top and is bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a floating synchronized tremolo bridge and dual Sky humbucking pickups flanking a Sky lipstick-style single coil mounted over a sound cavity on a white pickguard. This model was only sold in the USA. The TV650 is an identical model that was offered in Europe and Japan. The TV750 was produced only for 1994.
