- Most recipes for hot cocoa include milk, cocoa and sugar. Some also include liquors or spices. Some additions to hot cocoa are vanilla, cinnamon, chili powder, Bailey's Irish Cream, Kahlua, creme de cacao, whiskey or rum. Instead of using cocoa, you can use melted chocolate. You can substitute cream instead of milk, or water or soy milk. Instead of sugar, you can use another sweetener, including brown sugar, maple syrup or honey. Several recipes include salt, but I think that's totally unnecessary. Decorate with a candy cane, chocolate or colored sugar sprinkles.
- The Hot Cocoa agent is a C3/DS "gadget"-classed vendor of frothy. warming, hot cocoa, made by MKid112. These potions are very good at reducing a creature's coldness without overheating it. It was once available at edash.net.

- Hot Cocoa is a hot chocolate drink served at the Sugar Bowl with little marshmallows. It is commonly put out for sale during the winter season, and the Elwood City kids can be found drinking it in episodes that take place during this time, like "The Long, Dull Winter".
- Hot Cocoa was invented in 2007 by a 9th grader by the name of Steven K. Olbeart in Winchester, Old Jersey. He was cold. He liked chocolate. He hated Democrats, Republicans, and Independent presidents. So he made Hot Cocoa. First he poured hot water into a cup full of pre-packaged, government-issued chocolate powder ("Gubment Chocolate"). Then he threw it at the government health officials. Hot COCOA is short for H-ll, off that cr-p! Onto candied overweight assholes! Some fat people take offense at the words Hot COCOA and simply say hot chocolate.
- Hot Cocoa is a limited Rare Gem in Bejeweled Blitz. It is a white mug of hot chocolate with five marshmallows. When the player begins a game with Hot Cocoa activated, one of two special starting layouts appears. Both configurations include unique white mugs of hot chocolate. A mug functions identically to a Flame Gem, except a mug clears the middle and bottom surrounding gems and all the gems above and within its column instead. The base value for clearing a mug is 1,500 points. While Hot Cocoa is active, mugs replace random white gems throughout the game, and Flame Gems created using white gems become mugs instead.

After the Last Hurrah, a Coin bonus occurs in which nine mug icons appear in a 3×3 arrangement. When the player selects an icon, it reveals a numerical Coin value that is then added to the player's Coin total. The Coin payouts the bonus offers are 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, 8,000, 10,000, 15,000, 25,000, and 100,000.
