Henry conDoin was Duke of Crydee at the beginning of the Chaoswar. He was often nicknamed Harry because his father also had been called Henry. After he received word of an impending invasion of Krondor, Duke Henry rallied his forces, as well as those of Carse and Tulan to aid in the defense. When it becomes clear that the invasion of Krondor is only a diversion and that the real attack will take place at Crydee he turns back. When the army is attacked by a band of Goblins he is dealt a non-fatal wound, unfortunately he faints from this wound and falls off his horse, breaking his neck. Duke Henry is buried in a discretly marked grave along the road.
