Experiments have shown that a spingboard the length of the thickness of a human hair can be in quantum-mechanical superposition (in two places at once) when qubits are used. One problem is that photons or heat may destroy the superposition, but that can be solved with a suitable photon shield and extreme cooling. The result would be a BTC travel/FTL travel for instant transport! It could also be used for better launches. The destination can be controlled by regulating from what place the first disturbing photons comes. One problem is how to protect the crew from the extreme cooling without having their infrared radiation screwing it all up.
