  • Mrs Smith was the Deputy Head at Weatherfield High who met with Gail Platt and her son David in October 2006 after he had claimed that he was the target of bullying at the school. Mrs Smith explained that the allegations had been thoroughly investigated - David's form teacher, the Head of Year and Mrs Smith herself had spoken to every pupil in the form and most of the boys in the whole of David's school year. After looking at discipline reports and cross-checking pupils' accounts of who was where on the days in question, she concluded that there was no evidence that David had ever been bullied while attending the school. However, with David still maintaining he was telling the truth even after Mrs Smith suggested he was making up the story to cover himself as he'd been caught-out from just skipping lessons, Gail informed the deputy that she would have a talk to her son and get back in touch.
