| - Edward Buck (in fanfic universe, August 22, 1970- July 04, 2015) (in Halo universe, August 22, 2510) is a close friend of Master Chief (The Rookie) and a member of the Fictional Crib, who sadly passed away in his sleep of the morning of July 04.
- Nathan Fillion Edward Buck is your typical ODST. An overly ambitious, wreckless, and immature nut. However, one trait which distinguishes him from most other ODSTs is the fact that he is a seasoned veteran of the war and not a complete retard. During his youth, before the Human-Covenant War began, he was a star of TV series such as Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Now, the only "role" he plays is as grizzled sergeant leading a single sqaud of douchebags which includes a mute retard, a whiny noob, a gruff badass, a black guy who isn't Johnson, and an old romantic flame bitch of his against a bunch of aliens.

En tant qu'ODST il mena l'escouade Alpha-Nine pendant de nombreuses années, dont il fut rapidement le seul membre original encore en vie, avec qui il mena notamment l'opération d'extraction de Quick to Adjust durant la bataille de la Nouvelle Mombasa. Dans l'après-guerre, il accepta de devenir un Spartan-IV et intégra l'escouade Osiris sous le commandement de Jameson Locke. C'est un meneur strict et un soldat endurcit par les conflits, qui possède une relation amoureuse houleuse avec le capitaine de l'ONI Veronica Dare.
