abstract
| - No contest = Pleading "no contest" can be done during a lynch by a player who (usually) has the most votes at that time and would be lynched if the day would end at that point. This is basically saying "Okay, you got me, I'm guilty, I'm a bad guy, lynch me already", typically used by baddies (or Indies) when they give up the battle of clearing their name and do not wish to prolong the day unnecessarily. Depending on game mechanics, this can be used by other roles as well. To be accepted, the votes have to be overwhelmingly in favor of lynching said person suspected of being a baddie. If someone pleads "no contest", the host will probably make the day post as soon as they can, if the plead is accepted. In some games, especially with a lot of vote manipulation, the hosts will not allow no-contest pleas unless there is a majority of the votes (more than half of the votes of alive player+ any extra votes cast behind the scene) in favor of that person. Also, no contests are typically not allowed for roles that either have a secret ability to survive lynches or a secret WinCon to be lynched in order to win. __NOEDITSECTION__
