Doctor Henry "Hank" Pym is an entomologist and physicist who developed the Ant-Man Suit. For a time, he worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. as a consultant and became the first Ant-Man. Later he formed his own company, Pym Technologies, and passed the title of Ant-Man down to Scott Lang when his own former protege Darren Cross attempted to sell his technology, the new Yellowjacket Suit, to the notorious paramilitary terrorist organization known as HYDRA. His experience stopping Cross also allowed Pym to come to terms with losing his wife Janet van Dyne to the Quantum Realm years earlier, and also helped him agree to allow his daughter Hope van Dyne to don the Wasp Suit and become the hero Janet once was.
