Casetti was a 40 year old American. In 1926 Daisy Armstrong, the daughter of Colonel Armstrong and Sonia Armstrong was kiddnapped by Casetti. He held her hostage for 9 weeks, if the family did not pay $200,000 he would murder her. Her parents paied the ransom, but Daisy was not returned and was found murdered. In 1931, Casetti had taken the name of Samuel Ratchett. While travelling on the Orient Express, Casetti was murdered in his compartment. It was revealed half the passangers on the train were related to the Armstrongs, and planned to murder Casetti.
