The Ideological Concern Clause is a bi-lateral clause first brought to light by the Christian Coalition of Countries, that allows an alliance on either side of any given treaty to withdraw from a pact if the alliance is forced to defend an ideology it does not agree with, because of the pact in question: This pact is considered null and void if it forces the participants into a situation that requires them to defend an ideology that is contrary to the ideology of the participating alliance.

abstract	The Ideological Concern Clause is a bi-lateral clause first brought to light by the Christian Coalition of Countries, that allows an alliance on either side of any given treaty to withdraw from a pact if the alliance is forced to defend an ideology it does not agree with, because of the pact in question: This pact is considered null and void if it forces the participants into a situation that requires them to defend an ideology that is contrary to the ideology of the participating alliance. This clause came as a result of the controversial events surrounding the Continuum-NoV War. Because of the Christian nature of the CCC, their ideals were found to be in conflict with the alleged (and some would suggest, not 100% proven) ideals of Norden Verein that sparked the war in question. Although the Coalition did not condemn nor support NoV in the end, they saw the need to prevent themselves from being wrongly accused of any misconduct on the basis of MDP "daisy-chaining." Therefore, this clause was developed as an escape mechanism from any situations where the alliance would have to defend an ideology it blatantly disagreed with. This clause was first used in the "Dunder Mifflin Finds Christ" pact with Dunder Mifflin, however it was integrated into the "Cancellation" section of the clause. The first recorded use of it as a completely independent clause within a treaty was the "Frozen Holy Water Pact" with the New Polar Order, a move that was actually initiated by Polaris. On the Cyber Nations Forums, then-Nueva Vida member kingzog cracked a joke that this meant the NpO "wouldn't be taking part in CCC's war against the Great Whore of Babylon." While this amused many, both CCC and non-CCC alike, it also raised a very valid point about this clause - when entered into a pact, it always applies to both signees.
