He has devoted much of his life to being a engineer. In his earlier years he got in trouble with the local law many times. He also drank heavily, still does. He has had his liver replaced twice and is now using a genetically enhanced liver. He will jump blindly into any new technology, even if it means harming himself in some way or another.He was off to Etoile Station when the ship he was on was attacked by the Leigun. He was almost killed but was rescued by a group of mercs and Phoenix Alliance members. After he managed to get on Etoile Station, he quickly began his job of maintaining Etoile Station

While Etoile Station is long gone, he still serves on Frank's mining vessel, the Cleesha. He knows the ship better than Frank at this point and keeps it in once piece through all the chaos that happens in space.
