It is nicknamed "City of the Strawberries", and even has an annual Strawberry Festival. Elwood City's history dates back to the 1800s, when Buffalo Bill passed through the city during his tour of the country performing for locals. The city was officially founded in 1903 by Jacob Katzenellenbogan, who wanted it to be named Elmwood City. The metro area is home to an ample amount of businesses, all of which serve the community and its people.
