The Dream On Contest was a contest held by Cyberdog Castle and The GOAT Store which aimed to bring more independently developed commercial games to the Sega Dreamcast. The contest was held from 2003 to 2005. Two commercial games (Inhabitants and Maqiupai) have been released as a result of the first annual Dream On Contest, as the main prize for each year's contest was a publishing contract through The GOAT Store. The third contest was cancelled. One of the entries, Dynamite Dreams, was expanded to a full commercial game known as Alice Dreams Tournament.

The contest has been held since 2003. Two commercial games (Inhabitants and Maqiupai) have been released as a result of the first annual Dream On Contest, as the main prize for each year's contest is a publishing contract through The GOAT Store. Due to popular demand, the second annual Dream On contest included a minigame category. The winners of the minigame category of the second contest have the option of being included in the GOAT Games compilation. The third contest is still being judged. The winners of the complete game category will have their games published through the GOAT Store. As with the previous year, the winners of the minigame category have the option of being included in the GOAT Games compilation.
