Yvel is a stronghold city in The Lands, located near Opinwood. It was founded by Ian the cruel. The city was partially burnt when the White Circle destroyed the Dark One. The city was rebuilt and, up until the events of Lands of Lore 1, had never fallen to any attacker -- be it direct assault or prolonged siege. Michel Lordsport dug the Catwalk Caverns as an alternate route out of the city. Soon the city was attacked by the Darm Army and the city militia fell. The Champion's company were the last who made the Army retreat. In the meantime the Council left.

They were afterwards joined by the Champion and his fellowship. It was there that the Champion completed all the ingredients of the Elixir, and learned that Richard LeGrey is held at Castle Cimmeria. Soon the city was attacked by the Darm Army and the city militia fell. The Champion's company were the last who made the Army retreat. In the meantime the Council left.
