The finished product bears a curse that can slay living creatures outright. Death is automatically used whenever the Hero makes an attack affected by their weapon (File:Icon Melee Normal.png with a Sword or Mace; File:Icon Melee Normal.png or File:Icon Thrown.png with an Axe; File:Icon Ranged Bow.png with a Bow; or File:Icon Ranged Magic.png with a Wand or Staff). When used, it forces the target unit to make one File:Icon Resist.png roll per File:Icon Figure.png in the source unit. To resolve this effect, the game rolls a random number between 1 and 10. This is then compared to the target's current File:Icon Resist.png -3. If the rolled number is higher than the modified Resistance score, the target unit is struck for File:Icon Damage.png Damage Points equal to the full File:Icon Hits.png of one of its File:Icon Figure.png , slaying one figure instantly and possibly inflicting further File:Icon Damage.png to the next figure in line.
