Jakovo Fredrik Ostaras (born April 13, 1962) is a Bijani politician, who has been Chief Minister of Bijan since 2009. A member of the Social Democratic Party, Ostaras has been a member of the Bijani House of Representatives since 1989. On January 7, 2015, the Bijani House of Representatives passed a resolution expressing no confidence in his government. He submitted his resignation to President Hannah Roggeveen that same day, and advised her to call an early election to the House of Representatives on January 8.
