When Guybrush Threepwood entered their tent in the forest he found them arguing with each other about who will climb into the cannon and he offered to climb inside it provided he had a helmet (he used a saucepan that he found in the Scumm Bar). After being shot out of the cannon, the brothers realized it worked and when they saw that Guybrush was okay they rewarded him with pieces o' eight.
