A trimaran was a small ship or vessel with three hulls -- generally a central hull, and two stablizing hulls positioned symmetrically on either side. Seagoing trimarans were commonly used by islanders in Earth's Pacific Ocean. Sometime in the early 24th century, Talma Pren stole a spacefaring Cardassian two-person trimaran from a Cardassian trader in the region between Farius Prime and the Malfabrican sector, one of the few Cardassian vessels "owned" by a non-Cardassian.
