The September 2008 Hammish General Election was held on the second anniversary of the Nation and was the first general election of it's type in Hamland. It was contested mainly between Kieran, who campaigned as an independent, and Duke J of the HNP. The election went into a run off and the result had Duke J win by a small amount.

- The September 2008 General Election took place on 12/09/2008 following the dissolution of parliament at the end of the 1st Commoncold0 Government. Voters from across Ostentia took part in the electoral process, voting for both a prime ministerial candidate and a parliamentary candidate. The election saw a three way split between the parties, with the Democratic Socialist Party and the Ostentian Democrat Party going into the runoff for the presidential elections, despite the F&V=P Party winning the most seats. The runoff results were a perfect tie, and the F&V=P Party went into coalition with the Ostentian Democrat Party, with Commoncold0 once again becoming Prime Minister. Despite this coalition between the largest and third largest parties, they still did not have a majority.
