An attachment is an optional enhancement, modification or accessory for a weapon. In the first Call of Duty games, there was a lot less customization available to the player, meaning attachments were limited to the basics such as Sniper Scopes. In Multiplayer, attachments were introduced in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and since have been available in every game released afterwards.

  • An attachment is a prim or object that is attached to (and detached from) an avatar at various "attachment points". Any object/prim can be attached via the "attach" command in its pie menu (if in-world) or its right-click context menu (if in inventory). To detach an object, right-click it and select "Detach" from the pie menu. Complete avatars have also been made out of prims such as those made by the Luskwood Creatures group. To wear an object is to attach it to its default (right hand) or last attached location.

There are 30 total visible attachment points and 8 HUD attachment points which are only visible on the resident's screen. Some residents have made prim shoes or hair (and other items). While these are possible to make using the appearence window, it has been found that making them with prims not only gives them more dimension but also gives the creator the ability to put more detail into them. Attachments can contain scripts that enable them to change their appearances or properties. Some properties include color, bling and the ability to "say" various statements. Complete avatars have also been made out of prims such as those made by the Luskwood Creatures group. To wear an object is to attach it to its default (right hand) or last attached location.

Biological The user can nest any form of organic substance or creature onto oneself like a leech. The user can use this as a means of attack be attaching to the opponent and acting like a leech to drain their life force or other energies. Spiritual Mediumship The user if can see spirits can have them enter their own body and keep them as a means of energy source. The user can hold more than just two spirits at a time and can switch of with them more than once. Technology The user can dock any form of devices, machines and vehicles to themselves in order gain that machine's abilities and attributes. Weaponry The user can add any sort of attachments to their weapons to either enhance their capabilities or use more than one attack that it's capable of.
  • Attachment is a Networker with two Badges, the LEGO World Event Badge and the Star Justice Deputy Badge. His page uses the LEGO Universe Skin but lacks any Modules. There is some controversy over whether Attachment is truly a Networker or a user who has hacked MLN using the XML. When a user attempts to befriend Attachment he will remain in the "Unapproved" tab of the Friend List, with a status of "pending". Attempts to 'Sign In' as Attachment gives a 'wrong password' warning as opposed to the 'The username does not exist.' message generated when attempting to 'Sign In' as other Networkers, such as Echo. He has two friends, Echo and Kludge Dropcolumn. However, when you go to either Kludge's or Echo's page, Attachment will not appear in their friend list, even though he's a "Networker". Normally the Beta Tester Badge is required to befriend Kludge Dropcolumn but Attachment does not have it. He has the Star Justice Deputy Badge and could also befriend Capt Reynolds, but has not. Recently if you search Attachment the page will not show up but only some can enter his page. On some computers when you type in his name the adobe flash player slows down, and can prevent viewers from even seeing his page. There is also a chance that the user will be sent back to his or hers public page when users attempt to gain access to Attachment's page. {|class="collapsible collapsed" width="100%" style="text-align:center; clear:both; font-size:75%;" |}
