The Mayan Statue was a statue of a kneeling human figure with arms crossed, created in the Mayan tradition. It was concealed in a hidden vault of a tomb in the rain forests of Panama. In 1939, Indiana Jones recovered the statue from its hiding place by moving some of the stones and carved faces around the vault. He discovered that there was a slight crack in the base of the statue, and made notes about the statue and its hiding place.
